BORDER COUNTRY
BBC (5 x 30 minutes)

Stretching for nearly 180 miles, Offa’s Dyke Path follows the boundary between Wales and England. Dotted with castles and hill forts, it’s traditionally been a place of conflict between the two countries. Welsh naturalist and broadcaster Iolo Williams, and English historian Tessa Dunlop walk the length of the path, discussing their differing versions of language, culture and society and meeting people connected with this ancient monument, one of the biggest structures of its kind in Europe.
